Where do you make most of your memories? Where is the place you feel safest? That place you took hours and hours to decorate or renovate to make your own?

During an in-home photo session, I will come to the place that is most sacred to you – your home. We will capture your memories right where they happen on any given day. An intimate and relaxing approach to holding on to what is most dear to your heart.

This beautiful family invited me into their beautiful new house to do a photo session in honor of their little boys’ first Birthday. Instead of documenting the birthday party, we took the day before to cozy up and take time to savor those last moments before he turned one.

This was the second time I got to do a photoshoot with this lovely family, their love was radiating just like last time when I captured their newborn photography in Delray Beach.

When planning an in-home family session, I make sure we pick the spaces that have the best lighting situations for the look we want to achieve in your family photos. We pick a few spots in your house that we will prepare for your session, so no worries, your whole place does not have to be perfectly tidy! A little trick is to get a laundry basket to put in all the items you don’t want to deflect from your family, for example, bright-colored plastic toys.

Neutral tones work best in regards to bedding and throw pillows/blankets. for example these and these. I also love to incorporate fresh flowers and different textures.

We can plan a couple of activities that you usually do as a family, or just go with the flow and allow for those moments of connection to happen organically. I will guide you through the session so all you have to do is have fun and spend time with the ones you love the most.

The beautiful thing about a photo shoot in your own four walls is that usually, kids tend to be more relaxed which allows me to capture their true character. You don’t have to worry about your little ones running off too far or about getting their clothes dirty. Snack- or potty breaks are also easily taken care of. Plus we don’t have to worry about the South Florida weather interfering with documenting these precious moments together.
